Imagekind.com was founded in 2006 by Kelly Smith and Adrian Hanauer and is one of the fastest growing online art sites on the internet. Artists and photographers can sell their framed art, poster art and wall art on demand, while they choose how much mark-up is applied to each print. Artists upload their digital work, in order to have it printed, framed and supplied by Imagekind. Besides user generated content, works of well-known artists can be ordered.
Imagekind focuses on premium print and craftmanship as well as creating a community for art and artists. The artists set their own retail prices for their works, which they offer through their own galleries on Imagekind.com.
In July 2008, Holtzbrinck Ventures sold its shares to CafePress Inc.
