InterNations was established in summer 2007 by Philipp von Plato and Malte Zeeck, with Holtzbrinck Ventures as lead investor. The Founders Fund, Tiburon Partners, Thesaurus, Astutia Ventures, VM Digital and several private investors also hold share in the business.
