kontoblick is Germany's first free, bank-independent and web-based personal finance application. It combines the advantages of the classic household accounts book with the comfort of online banking. The various functions allow users a quick overview of their financial status, and the user-friendly system enables them to manage their finances effectively. kontoblick also links existing accounts with different credit institutes online. Turnover and account transactions are automatically categorized and graphically displayed. Users are allowed a structured overview of their current financial situation at any time. The encryption technology used guarantees that the user data is permanently protected.
kontoblick was established in summer 2008 by Christopher Cederskog and Philipp Erler. The company is based in Munich, Germany. The shareholders are the founders, the European Founder Fund, several private investors and, since June 2009, Holtzbrinck Ventures GmbH.
