With more than 12 years of experience in the venture capital industry, Martin invested in more than 40 Investments, thereof 5 fully owned formations and several joint ventures, and conducted several exits. Being operationally responsible in managing a public offering and building up several new ventures from scratch to IPO, Martin brings a wide range of financial and transaction knowledge for early and later stage deals to Holtzbrinck Ventures.

Within Holtzbrinck ventures Martin is responsible for new venture investments, transaction and several existing portfolio companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Martin was CFO of Netlife AG, a software company focusing on online banking and brokerage, where he managed IPO at Neuer Markt and after o strong international growth a successful restructuring in the phase of market consolidation.

Before joining Netlife AG, Martin spent five years as Investment Manager at Bayerische Kapitalbeteiligungs GmbH, a venture capital company of the Bayerische Landesbank, one of the leading german banks.

Current board seats: chairman of the board of Mindmatics, member of the board of Audible, MyHammer and studiVZ.

Education: management studies in Nuremberg (Dipl.-Kfm.); graduated with distinction
